ABU DHABI, UAE, December 1, 2025 – The stage is set for a dramatic conclusion to the 2025 Formula One World Drivers' Championship at Yas Marina Circuit this weekend, with three drivers vying for the title. Following Max Verstappen's victory in Qatar, the Dutch driver is in a thrilling race against McLaren's Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, making for an intense showdown that is expected to captivate fans around the world.
Verstappen sits in second place with 396 points, just 12 points behind series leader Norris, who is leading with 408 points after finishing fourth in Qatar. Piastri is in third, trailing Norris by 18 points. With only 25 points available on the final race day, the competition is fiercer than ever, making this weekend a pivotal moment in Formula 1 history.
This is the fourth title-deciding race in Abu Dhabi and the first time since 2010 that three drivers have entered the final race with a chance at the championship. Historically, Verstappen has excel at Yas Marina, winning four of the last five races, but Norris broke his streak in 2024.
To enhance the experience for fans, Ethara, the organizers of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, have announced a host of new events and activities to celebrate this landmark occasion. Saif Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, stated: “The 2025 Formula One World Drivers' Championship will be decided in Abu Dhabi in the first three-way battle since 2010. We've built a weekend that matches this historic occasion with four nights of headline concerts, extended track access and a city-wide entertainment programme.”
Fans can look forward to double Pit Lane Walks scheduled for Thursday, December 4, allowing more attendees to witness the hustle in the team garages and even catch a glimpse of their favorite drivers. This exclusive experience, available only to four-day ticket holders, is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition, for the first time, additional grandstand gates will remain open post-race on Sunday, December 7, welcoming all attendees to join in the celebrations and witness the crowning of the 2025 champions.
Beyond the excitement of the race, grand prix ticket holders will gain complimentary access to Abu Dhabi's premier attractions, including Yas Island theme parks and cultural hotspots like the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Qasr Al Watan. Recent expansions also include the multisensory art museum teamLab Phenomena and the newly opened Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi.
Fans can also attend the Emirates NBD Yasalam After-Race Concerts in Etihad Park, featuring performances by big names such as Post Malone, Metallica, and Katy Perry. With dining pop-ups and exclusive events throughout Yas Island and Abu Dhabi, the weekend promises to be filled with entertainment both on and off the track.
