Sapphō Debuts in Mykonos' Old Port: A New Culinary Haven

Sapphō, the new restaurant and late-night destination in Mykonos’ old port, has officially opened its doors, capturing the island’s essence while honoring its glorious past. Located at the historic former Remezzo site, Sapphō offers guests an unforgettable dining experience that showcases the beauty of its surroundings.

Every summer, Mykonos boasts a location that becomes the talk of the island, and this year, Sapphō claims that title. Designed by a collective of renowned hospitality experts, the venue aims to provide an evening where each moment is as memorable as the last, beginning right at sunset.

With breathtaking views over the old harbour, the whitewashed town, and the serene Aegean Sea, diners can immerse themselves in the stunning landscape. Guests transition from long lunches to evening aperitivos and midnight discussions, all without the burden of time constraints. The interior of Sapphō feels more like an art collector's home than a traditional restaurant, featuring sculptural green Tinos marble tables, luxurious yet understated aesthetics, and unique design elements such as a cobalt-blue bathroom adorned with a disco ball.

The menu reflects a Mediterranean influence, enriched by exceptional Greek ingredients and subtle Japanese techniques. Highlights include dishes like sea urchin carpaccio, fresh sashimi, and grilled meats accompanied by seasonal vegetables. The extensive wine list celebrates both local Greek producers and an international selection, while expertly crafted cocktails set the nocturnal atmosphere.

Moreover, behind a discreet door lies an intimate speakeasy-style nightclub that has quickly become one of Mykonos' most sought-after experiences. Renowned artists such as Fideles, Birds of Mind, and Kaz James perform in an inviting setting that feels secret while being lively, creating a unique after-party vibe. As the press release notes, it is this contrast that defines Sapphō: “Refined without being formal. Beautiful without trying too hard. Lively without ever feeling chaotic.”

Sapphō transcends the traditional restaurant experience, evolving from a dining venue into a vibrant bar and continuing as a party destination well into the early hours. It’s a reminder that in Mykonos, the best nights are often the unplanned ones.

Guests can visit Sapphō at Polikandrioti, Mikonos 846 00, Greece, where they open daily at 7 PM until late. For reservations, patrons can contact +30 2289 025700.
