In celebration of Eid Al Adha, TANSŌ is offering a unique five-course lunch menu inspired by its current seasonal chapter, DAICHI | 大地 — Volume 01. From May 25 to 31, the restaurant’s culinary team invites guests to explore the influence of Gulf provenance through contemporary Japanese techniques.
Located in Jumeirah 1, TANSŌ is a chef-led dining gallery that emphasizes a fresh perspective on traditional Japanese cooking. The carefully crafted menu showcases a journey through contrasting flavors and textures, designed to highlight the season's distinct ingredients.
The experience begins with a dish called Root, which features barbeer, fig, garden vegetables, candied walnuts, and a sansho vinaigrette. Next, guests will savor Soil, an offering of organic eggplant enhanced with smoked miso, hazelnut, and truffle soy. The main courses, Coast and Local, spotlight the rich seafood and poultry of the region with wild hammour paired with yuzu miso beurre blanc and organic chicken glazed in yakitori, respectively, served alongside kombu rice and negi. The meal culminates with Palm, a dessert that combines tonka bean, Medjool date, miso caramel, and Booza ashta.
In describing the inspiration behind this season’s menu, the team at TANSŌ expressed, “The Gulf has always been a place of growth. Its land, its sea, and its people have endured and produced through every season, quietly, persistently, without announcement. These six dishes are our acknowledgement. This is the Gulf as we see it. Resilient. Generous. Alive.”
The five-course lunch is offered at a price of Dhs260 per person, available daily from 12 PM to 5 PM during the promotion period. Reservations can be made by calling +971 4 257 2835. TANSŌ operates from Tuesday to Sunday, 12 PM to 11 PM.
