African Queen Dubai, in partnership with JD Malat Gallery, unveils a captivating art installation by Ghanaian-British artist Kojo Marfo at its J1 Beach location. The installation, which opens during Ramadan, will run through summer 2026. This collaboration highlights the intersection of art and gastronomy within the Riviera-inspired ambiance of African Queen, a restaurant renowned for its Mediterranean cuisine.
Kojo Marfo's vibrant works will be displayed throughout the restaurant, creating a lively cultural moment that enhances the dining experience. African Queen not only showcases Marfo's art but also hosts sea-view Iftar and Suhoor dining options, perfect for guests looking to celebrate the holy month. The Iftar features a curated sharing set menu starting at AED 296 per person, which includes traditional fare such as dates, lentil soup, and a selection of Arabic mezze alongside mains like lamb, beef kebab, and vegetarian tagine.
"Installed throughout the Riviera-inspired interiors, the works transform African Queen into a dynamic cultural setting where art and gastronomy converge."
The Ramadan offerings at African Queen also include a Suhoor menu available late into the night, from 10:30 PM until 1:30 AM. This menu features a variety of dishes and concludes with seasonal fruits, all served with soft drinks, coffee, and tea. The Iftar dining experience is available daily, with meals served from sunset until 9:00 PM.
For those interested in experiencing this cultural and culinary blend, the JD Malat Gallery and African Queen collaboration can be enjoyed at J1 Beach, located in Jumeirah, Dubai.
